Pop Warner Super Bowl Champions

On December 11th 2009, the Stanley Jr. Pee Wee football team completed a perfect 13-0 season, to claim their second Super Bowl title since 2002. The team was selected as grand marshals for the afternoon parade in Disney World. The Super Bowl trophy has once again found a home in Stanley.

Welcome to Stanley Pop Warner.com, the online home of the Stanley Optimist Blue Devils! Located in Stanley NC, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer programs for children 5 to 12 years old. Our programs teach fundamental values, skills, and knowledge that children will use throughout their lives. Registration for the 2010 season is just around the corner. Little Scholars

Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is the only national youth sports organization in America that rewards its members for their outstanding performance in the classroom. All eligible participants wishing to apply, please contact your team mom.

1- Does my child have to tryout for the football / cheer teams? No.

Pop Warner doesn't permit tryouts.

2- What are the cost involved? The football players are charged about $30 to cover the insurance & physicals. The cheerleader’s uniforms are custom fitted, including shoes, costing about $200.
3- When is the 1st day of practice & where? August 2nd Kiser Elementary School.

4- Are the cheerleaders competing as an advancing team? Yes, the squads will once again compete, in hopes of reaching nationals.

Football Jamboree

Greater Gaston’s Pop Warner football jamboree was held Saturday at South Point H.S. The yearly classic gives teams a final warm-up before the season starts. Each team played two games, with dedicated time for offense & defense.
