POP WARNER FOOTBALL & CHEERLEADING

Placement - Pop Warner does not permit tryouts. Instead registrants are placed on an age appropriate team, on a first come first served basis. Participant’s age as of July 31 is the age for the season. While requests for specific placement can be made, we cannot guarantee that the request will be granted.

Practice- August 1st starts the Pop Warner season and practice for this month will be at Kiser Elementary School grounds and gym for all squads.

Commitment - Following the initial 20 hours (or two weeks) of conditioning/practice, the regular practice season can begin which means preparing for competition. The girls will be learning stunts, formations, dance and cheer segments and all other aspects of their competition routine. When one cheerleader misses a practice it has a major impact on the rest of the squad, and even more specifically on that cheerleader’s stunt group. Therefore, unless illness occurs, cheerleaders must be at all practices! If an emergency or personal issue arises, please notify the head coach or team mom as soon as possible!

Games - The game season usually begins the 2nd week of September with about ten games for the regular football season, including bowl games and generally finishes by the end of November. Cheerleaders are required to cheer at all games.

Competition - Our squads will compete as an advancing team for Regional & Nationals at Disney in 2010.
